I'm the solo developer.
My son is growing up fast and I have thousands of photos of him that I never open. I wanted something smaller that I'd actually look at. So: once a day you capture one memory. You don't get the picture back. About half a minute later a little watercolor comes back instead, with a two-word title and the year written under it.
The drawings hang on a wall, one row per week, so a month ends up looking like a page from a sketchbook. There's also a messy "collage" view where everything is thrown together.
A few things I decided early and stuck to:
• one a day, no retakes
• one look, no filters or style picker
• nothing social, no feed
I vibe coded it with Claude Code, but I was picky: every button is drawn in code so it looks hand-drawn, the "developing" print is a Metal shader, and moving between pages is a real page curl you can hold halfway.
It went live two weeks ago. The first three memories are free, after that it's a subscription, because every drawing costs me about six cents to make.
Happy to answer anything about how it's built or why I kept it this small.
