CommandSlate: a desktop workspace for AI coding agents, built in Flutter AI is changing the game. You already know that CommandSlate is a productivity tool for developers, written in Flutter. If you're not into Agentic Engineering yet, it's a good place to start learning. 🔗 https://commandslate.ai/ What it does • Run Claude Code, Codex, Grok and Kimi Code across one or more repos, from one window • Every task gets its own branch and worktree, so agents never share a folder • Review the diff before you merge, then merge into your local main • Free during beta on Windows x64 and Apple Silicon Macs Kanban view of threads in progress, scoping, review and done Why Flutter? • Custom rendering engine and top-tier performance • It's not another Electron app or VS Code fork • One design language for the upcoming companion app that will control it New in v0.45.0: a CLI for agents v0.45.0 adds a CLI that agents can use to control the UI. It's written in Dart and compiled to a native executable, so you (or an agent) can call CommandSlate from anywhere on your PC. Why I built it My goal was a tool that transforms developer productivity. I built it for myself, to keep up with the pace companies now operate at, but I see the value in opening it up so people can build the projects of their dreams. Diff window for a finished worker, ready to review and merge Open source? I'd love your input Diff window for a finished worker, ready to review and merge CommandSlate isn't open source yet. I'm open to it, but I haven't weighed up the pros and cons. It's complicated because I'm building a platform around it: benchmarking, AI voice calls and a forum. It's still early days. How would you tackle open source while still running it as a platform? Open core, source-available, open client with a hosted platform... I'd really like to hear what's worked for you. Built by a human with AI-assisted development. CommandSlate also helps build itself. I like to write things with my own hands!
